Think before you write. That’s DBA’s message to consumers to push the use of their new 98% biodegradable pen. It’s an elegant solution to a huge problem.
While I wouldn’t consider myself environmentally conscious this pen is still beautiful and well-designed.
Bruno Maag is so enraged by Helvetica that he has designed a typeface aimed specifically at wiping it off the face of the planet. He explains his hatred in the latest of SEA’s Naturalis booklets.
Oh, Helvetica. Type is so subjective, you know. But Helvetica is like a glove in the designer’s hands. Not many typefaces have that quality. It’s not perfect but it’s not the faceless, “vanilla ice cream” that Maag makes it out to be.
Besides, vanilla ice cream is delicious.

Thinking about redesigning my website. I’m cleaning up the main page and making room for my portfolio. I’m still going to keep the art-directed articles but they’ll be secondary to the portfolio for the time being.

The illustration featured in this IL cover is so appropriate. I love how the grid layout is so consistent across the rest of the issues. Gonna see if I can acquire one of these periodicals.
