I must say that I can’t understand the Asus EEE hype that’s going on. At first it looked like a great idea: small and cheap laptops… But when I look at the specs I’m like “wtf”.

Can anyone answer me why someone would like to buy a tiny laptop you basically only can surf the web and check your mail on? It makes the iPod touch look like a monster-machine from outer space with its 16 GB and Safari.

This is basically the point. The EEE was built for the basics. I want one just for school. It’s perfect. I don’t have to lug around a huge laptop just so I can type and surf the web. If I really need more space I always have my external drive.

And the price is the cherry on top. Sure you can get an iPod touch for about the same but it’s not a full-blown personal computer (yes it’s got the browser and whatnot). But having a small laptop w/XP means you can download whatever software you want (cain & abel ;D) and a “qwerty” keyboard, mousepad (?), ports, etc.

Ah like it. Ah like it allot. :)
