Hang it!

With hanging punctuation the flow of text on the left hand side is uninterrupted. The bullets, glyphs or numbers sit in the gutter to highlight the list. This representation of a list is more sophisticated visually and more legible.

This is just a sneek peak for the new site design. Yes, I know I re-design way too often, but this time it will not only be a new design - but a new blogging engine as well.
Tumblr has been great but it’s still in some the early stages of the blogging fundamentals. Some of the missing features that always bothered me were:

Dashboard post search.
Post/database backup.
“Conditional” theme tags.
Built-in optional post comments (I know that’s what the ReBlog is for but it can’t compare with basic reader-author comment communication).
And pages!

Either way, tumblr’s biggest strength is the community. So I will probably still keep the tumblr site up (much like what cameron did), and import my regular posts.
I’ve got the index page completed, now for the sub-pages and EE integration. That means I won’t be making the switch for another 2-3 months (mostly because I procrastinate allot and I’m lazy and school’s starting soon for me).

Almost daily I receive one or more emails from design students and aspiring Web designers unsure about their current education. They’re concerned that what they’re learning will not sufficiently prepare them for the real world. They fear they’re being taught outdated practices, or simply that their curriculum focuses on the wrong things.
